Guidelines for presentation

Oral presentations

The duration of a oral presentation slot is 20 minutes with a few exceptions. You will have 12 minutes for the presentation itself and 7 minutes for questions from the audience. The remaining 1 minute is spared for a speaker change.

A projector is available in every session room for oral presentations. Presenters are advised to bring their own laptop PCs and prepare your appropriate adapter for connecting to a VGA cable for the projector.

Presenters should arrive in their session room before your session start to report to the chair person. Projector switching unit is prepared in session rooms. Presenters are also asked to plug your laptop PCs to switching unit before your previous presentation.

Please note that wired and wireless LAN are NOT available at all the session rooms.

Poster presentations

The presentation number assigned to the poster presentation shall be provided in the final program. The dimensions of the posters should be 841 mm x 1189 mm (width x height), equivalent to A0 size.

Poster presenters are kindly requested to attach your poster(s) on the predetermined poster board which will be numbered according to your presentation number between 12:20 and 15:00 of the poster session day (Wednesday, 5th October). Presenters are requested to be standing by their posters during the core period into which their posters are grouped (15:10 - 16:10 or 16:10 - 17:10). Your core period will be shown on your poster board.

Core time periods
  • Odd poster number (e.g. 2-A4:1): 15:10 - 16:10
  • Even poster number (e.g. 2-A4:2): 16:10 - 17:10
